FAQ

  • It really depends on what you’re looking for.

    • High Season (December–April): This is Costa Rica’s dry season, when Nosara and the surrounding area are buzzing with activity. The weather is mostly sunny, the roads are easier to navigate, and there are plenty of events, classes, and happenings in town. If you enjoy a lively atmosphere and want to combine your stay with a vibrant community scene, this is a great time to visit.

    • Green Season (May–November): Known for its lush landscapes and quieter pace. Daily rains refresh the land, the gardens thrive, and the mountains feel especially alive. This is a beautiful time if you’re seeking stillness and a more intimate experience with the land and community.

Both seasons offer something special - whether you’re drawn to the energy of high season or the peaceful abundance of the green season.

  • Our immersions are self-guided stays, not structured retreats. You set your own pace - whether you want solitude, community connection, or to join in our daily rhythm. We provide the environment, programming, and meals, and you decide how much or little to participate.

  • Included in your stay is daily yoga, meditation, and our calendar of weekly programming such as ecstatic dance, sound healing, and kirtan. Some weeks may include speciality workshops that are an additional cost.

Optional excursions -like waterfall hikes or horseback rides - can also be arranged depending on demand and season.

  • During your immersion you will stay in your choice of room: shared (3 beds), standard (2 beds or 1 king), suites (spacious with 1 king), or earthen bahareque casitas (private and closer to the maloca). Each is nestled in the mountainside with views and access to shared spaces.

  • High speed Wi-Fi is available in our temple and lounge - perfect if you need to stay connected for work. During our rainy season (May - October), weather may impact power and connectivity - we go with the flow and embrace being offline when the weather demands us to be!

  • Not at all. All practices are open-level, welcoming beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

  • Tierramor is located in the mountains near Nosara, Costa Rica - approximately a 25-30 minute drive to the beaches of Guiones, Pelada and Ostional. The nearest airport is Liberia International (LIR), about 2.5 hours by car or 30 minute domestic flight to Nosara (Sansa Airlines). Shuttles and taxis can be arranged, or you can rent a car for more flexibility.

Once you book, we’ll provide detailed travel guidance and recommendations. Please note: 4x4 is required to reach the property!

  • Upon booking we will send a detailed packing list. But we recommend comfortable clothing for yoga and outdoor activity, a reusable water bottle, swimwear, closed toed shoes, flashlight and any personal essentials - please opt for biodegradable toiletries!

Composting toilets

Our commitment to healing earth systems extends to our everyday living practices . By choosing composting toilets, we reduce water waste, embody regenerative land management, and model intentional, low-impact living - supporting both ecosystem health and cultural transformation.

How it Works

Composting toilets are waterless systems that biologically transform human waste into a nutrient-rich, soil-like compost through controlled aerobic decomposition. No water flush is required, and the process safely returns valuable plant nutrients back to the land.

Why We Use Them

They conserve water - potentially reducing up to 60% in institutional settings.

They eliminate the need for black-water treatment and sewer infrastructure, minimizing environmental impact while optimizing resource re-use.

They support our regenerative ethos by turning human waste into compost that nourishes our gardens and agroforestry systems - closing the loop on nutrient cycles.
