This immersive 3.5 day experience weaves together mindful partner dance, somatic practices, and the transformative power of tropical surrender.   • Land in the enchanting coastal realm of Guanacaste as the sun sets over the expansive Pacific. Open with an invitation into presence and delight, and begin your journey with a taste of cacao among new friends . A movement ritual invoking your inner dragon drops you into sensuous connection with your body. Suddenly you’re home. Time slows. The container is set, and you feel something shifting already.

  • Foundations & Flow

    Friday

  • Morning Sundo (Taoist breathwork practice) overlooking the ocean, birds calling from every direction. Then we dive deep into the art of somatic conversation—learning to speak through touch and presence. Long lunch on the terrace with fresh local flavors. Afternoon breathwork in the warm air gives way to discovering how powerful surrender through intimate movement can be. As evening falls, cacao flows again, and you taste your first real moment of getting completely lost in the dance.

  • Amplifying Presence

    Saturday

  • The rhythm of the land settles into your bones. Deepening into breath and body as the tierra awakens around you, then exploring the subtle art of micro-movements that create maximum intimacy. Plenty of space between sessions to wander and connect, or just melt into a hammock with the sounds of paradise. Evening brings ecstatic celebration as you dance with new confidence, feeling the collective magic you’re dancing awake with this new collective.

  • Integration

    Sunday

  • One final breath practice to anchor the frequency, then closing circle being held in witness. You’re leaving different than you came—more embodied, more alive, more connected. The jungle has worked its magic, and you’re carrying this medicine back into your world.

Wren LaFeet

Lead Facilitator + DJ, Cocréa Founder

  • Wren is an embodiment guide committed to practices that encourage living in right-relationship.  A trained dancer, theater worker, mindfulness facilitator and former recovery counselor, Wren shares body-based practices synthesized from social partner dance, mindfulness, Taoism, the Gene Keys, waterways and relating with other humans that support interpersonal connection and positive change.

    In 2013, Wren founded Cocréa with co-founder Antje Schaefer, as a vehicle for transformation through exploring mindful, consent based partnered movement as a relational practice. Channeling what he has come to acknowledge as an intelligence that wants the highest possible outcome for humanity, he creates brave spaces for humans seeking a deeper sense of belonging to come home to themselves and the earth through the body. 

    Wren is a TEDx speaker, featured author in “ReInhabiting the Village”, certified Attunement Therapy practitioner and HeartMath certified trauma sensitive educator. He holds a BA in Drama and Dance and began dancing in 1998 at the height of the swing dance revival. He immediately began fusing dance styles, particularly swing, hip hop and contemporary movement. He began performing in front of audiences at the age of 6 and as a neurospicy human, thrives when channeling his boundless energy, curious mind and empathetic capacity into service to others. A devotee of the Gene Keys since 2013, he is currently training to become a Gene Keys Guide.

Adrián YoZéF

Co-Facilitator + DJ, Beyond Dance Founder

  • Born in Costa Rica and with more than 15 years of experience in the field of conscious movement and embodiment practices, Adrián YoZéF has become an international Dance Ceremonialist and is one of the spear-heading leaders of conscious and intentional dancefloors in Costa Rica. He is an embodiment mentor, dancer, transformational experiences designer and DJ. He is the founder of Beyond Dance: a platform through which Adrián curates and facilitates diverse dance journeys such as Elemental Movement Meditation, Sense & Surrender (blindfold dance), facilitated dance ceremonies, and Ecstatic Dances.

    Having as a background his studies as a yoga teacher and meditation practitioner, his containers are filled with deep grounding presence, creating an intentional and mindful field. In occasions supported by cacao and grounded in guided embodiment, he invites participants into deeper states of presence, freedom, and raw, authentic self expression.

    He has collaborated with artists such as Yemanjo, ANGATA, Temple Step and produced events in collaboration with J.Pool, Sariel Orenda and Darren Austin Hall. He has toured around Europe as an Ecstatic Dance Dj and Embodiment Facilitator in cities such as Zagreb, Rome, Napoli, Barcelona, París, Montpellier and Bordeaux.

    His approach to dance is deep, healing and enthusiastic. He comes from the understanding that to live authentically is to live creatively and to live creatively is to live generously!
